These metallic Oster hair clipper attachments are the only choice to consider when it comes to buying extensions for your hair clipper - never bother with the cheaper plastic ones! All Oster hair clippers here will easily fit on your hair clipper. They come with their own built-in blade. Blades must be re-sharpened (at your local shop) after excessive use, just like any kitchen knife would.

Hair Clipper Attachment Sizes
It's kind of difficult to understand the numbering system for hair clipper attachments at first. Oster hair clipper blade attachments have their own numbering system, and each blade cuts down to an exact size in inches. For your convenience, all blades will list their extension as well as what length they will cut hair down to. (Right: I put together this convenient chart, showing you how long several clipper blades will leave your hair - this is exemplified by the red marking to the left of each ruler).

Clipper Attachment Types: Terms You Should Know!
Another important thing to note about Oster clipper attachments is that they have separate makes and models within their own product line. The AgION line of extension blades are specially manufactured to provide built-in antimicrobial protection, which protects the blade itself from growing mold, mildew and other bacteria. AgION are ideal blades for the Oster Classic 76 and are highly recommended for that model. Cryotech blades are high carbon steel, and are meant for pet grooming. CryogenX is a material type advertised to stay 20 degrees cooler than standard A-5 clipper model blades, and stay sharper longer, requiring less blade sharpening (AgION also have this feature). Skip tooth extensions are designed for very course hair, especially for animal grooming - their design has wider comb teeth than normal, hence the name.
