Back To School Beauty Essentials

Hey teachers and students, it’s almost time for back to school! But of course you already knew that because you are starting to check the essentials off of your list before classes begin. We know you’ll never forget the easy items like pens, pencils, a new iPad or a new shower caddy for your new dorm. But this post is to remind you that staying groomed and looking great will help to ease the stresses of school. Below are a few beauty essentials that you’ll need before school begins.

Hair Dye
The best thing about back to school is a fresh start so why not start with a new look too? U Color has a great selection of professional-looking colors that are easy to apply at home with no mess at only $7! You can’t really beat that.

Foot Bath
From walking around campus to walking the halls of the school you teach in, both students and teachers can benefit from a foot bath. After long days of being on your feet, coming home to a foot bath will get you recharged and your feet replenished for the next day.

Nail Polish
Back to school means fall so have your nails looking pretty and prepared with two of the hottest fall collections. The Safari Collection by China Glaze and On The Runway Collection by Gelish are two nail polish collections featuring some of the best fall colors for your nails. Plus getting a fresh mani/pedi with your gal pals before the first day of school sounds fun doesn’t it?

Keratin Treatment
The purpose of a keratin treatment is to smooth and moisturize your hair making it healthier, less frizzy and more manageable. And we know once school gets started, late nights and early mornings will happen, so what better way to cut down on hair styling time than with a keratin treatment? With proper maintenance, a keratin treatment can last 3-6 months.

Male Grooming
No guys, we didn’t forget about you. For your first day back, step into class with a clean shave. This can easily be achieved with the Lucky Tiger products. Having a nicely groomed face will help you feel better and fresher and maybe even score points with the cute girl in your bio class!

Fall 2012 Hair Trends

By looking at the runways, we can tell not only what fashions will be trendy each season but also which hairstyles will be “in”. And by the looks of the models from New York to Paris and even Milan, the two biggest hair trends for fall 2012 will be precise pony’s and slick, straight locks.

Perfect, pulled back ponytails will be all the rage for fall and winter 2012. This means you’ll need to load up on hair spray, hair ties and a brush that prevents frizz and adds shine. You will want to reduce the amount of fly-aways in order to create the perfectly slicked back look by using hair spray to keep everything in place. Also, you can use a brush like the Olivia Garden Ceramic + Ion Mega Thermal Round Brush to help decrease frizz and add shine. This brush will distribute your hair’s natural oils in order to add shine and complete the look of this sassy fall hair trend.

Straight, low-volume hair will be another big trend this coming season. To achieve this look, you’ll need your trusty flat iron. Perfectly ironed locks will set the tone for fall hair fashion. But if you want to get your hair as straight as possible, try a keratin treatment. Keratin treatments like One N Only's Brazilian Tech Keratin Treatment will work to reduce frizz and keep your hair healthy and straight for up to 3 months. While lots of body still looks good, sleek and straight will be the bigger choice this fall.
